Every week LBC distribute 23 emergency assistance vouchers.
Every month LBC distribute over 1000 disease-specific haematology booklets.
Every year LBC hold 70 educational support group meetings.
What the money raised for LBC can do:
$5 can produce one educational haematology children's picture book.
$10 can produce three disease-specific information booklets.
$20 can provide one information pack for newly diagnosed patients and their families.
$50 can buy an emergency assistance voucher for patients to ensure they get to hospital for treatment or can buy food for their families.
$300 can fund an education meeting to ensure patients have access to information about their condition and can meet other patients going through a similar experience.
$3000 can fund their Support Services programme for one day, making sure expert help is at the end of the phone or available in person for patients and their families.
$6000 can fund a Summer Studentship - where a student works on a haematology research project over the summer semester.
